Our Founders
Patrick Burns
Pat served the community of Northwest Florida as a Police Officer for almost 18 years. In that time he worked as a Traffic Homicide Investigator, Field Training Officer, Vice and Narcotics Detective, and Criminal Investigations Detective. He has been a money management training facilitator for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) since 2012 and President of his Fraternal Order of Police Lodge from 2018 until 2021. In December of 2021 Pat completed The Gottman Institute Level One couples counseling training. In December of 2022 Pat completed his Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology. In May of 2023 Pat completed Financial Coach Master Training through Ramsey Solutions.
Pat understands the stress of Police work. He is dedicated to helping First Responders thrive in their finances, relationships and build emotional resilience.
Rachelle Burns
Rachelle holds a Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and has over 16 years of crisis counseling experience. She has been involved in suicide prevention since 2012, with experience in training at the local and state level, and coordinates a community suicide prevention coalition, which she founded in 2018. She has also been a leader in financial literacy initiatives at the college where she works since 2009.
Rachelle loves helping people grow in every aspect of their lives, especially First Responders and families, knowing the challenges they face daily.
Us
Married since 2007, we have personal experience with marriage and family issues, having faced our own marriage challenges and having raised three children (now adults) in a blended family environment. We participated in FPU in 2012 and used the tools we learned to become consumer debt free in 2014 (and beyond!) We are passionate about helping those on the front lines, because we’ve been there.
